  • They made the hardest experience of losing my son as gentle as possible. From the young man that took him with the blanket to the lady that helped me every step of the way. I feel my son was treated exactly by my wishes until they gave him back to me!! Thank you!!

I called this company prior to my pet being euthanized. It was the hardest phone call I have ever had to make. Linda was kind and understanding and offered her condolences. She explained the process, cost, etc. However, neglected to tell me whether or not my pet would be kept in a freezer or not.

When I called to have my pet picked up, two kind gentlemen came and took my dog away, I was grieving terribly and could not think. I had made arrangements with Linda to have my pet shipped to me in WA state as I was moving.

I called shortly after my dog was taken to her facility and I asked her if she would give me a lot of hair cuttings. She sounded mortified. She said that no one has ever, ever asked her to do this before and she was not comfortable doing it. I had realized that I wanted to make a special item out of my dogs hair and wanted it for that reason. She stated that it was morbid and she wasn't going to do it, she said she would clip a few pieces and put them in a small bag. At this point, Linda changed her tone with me, I felt she became rude and very uncaring as I sat there on the phone crying. I wanted to ask more questions about my dog and ask that they cremate the blanket with her but Linda just cut me off and made it clear she had no interest in further conversation with me.

Later on, after I moved, my pets ashes did not arrive on the date I expected them. I had to call looking for my pets ashes and when I reached Linda after previously having left a message, she said there had been a delay in the shipment. She offered no apologies and was rude to me.

I would never call this company again and thankfully, I'll never have to but I wish she had been a lot more compassionate. It seems to me, the minute she got my payment, I was no longer a valued customer.

  • We discovered early on Easter morning that our sweet cat passed away unexpectedly. My husband and I were devastated and at a loss for what to do, as we had (fortunately) not had to cope with losing a pet before this point. A friend gave me the phone number for Pet Cremation Services, and I called, expecting to leave a message. Not only did someone answer, but arrangements were quickly made for us to bring our girl in before noon. Steve was so kind and caring, and didn't seem inconvenienced at all at having to come in on a Sunday morning (and a holiday, at that). He took the time to carefully explain the process, how we could be certain that the remains we received were hers, offered to show us the machine they would use, and didn't charge us any sort of fee for the "off-hours" visit. We special-ordered an urn, which took an extra two days; Steve offered to keep her until it arrived or to let us come back that same day and pick her up, and get the urn later. We chose the former, and picked up our sweet girl today. Nothing can lessen the pain of losing her so suddenly, but the kindness and compassion of Steve and the other staff at Pet Cremation Services was such a blessing in what was a very emotional and traumatic day.

  • I have used Pet Cremation services twice for my senior horses. Today was for my 34 year-old beloved horse. After hearing about cremation issues at other facilities such as not actually doing the cremation, I was apprehensive that my boy would be cremated with the dignity he deserved.

From the kind young man who picked him up to speaking with the owners when he arrived at the facility, my mind and heart are in peace. All questions were answered professionally and they also suggested to cut some mane and tail hair, which I had already done.

No regrets in using this company in ensuring my boys final journey was compassionate and dignified.

  • My experience is similar to other reviewers who give Pet Cremation Services 5 stars. Our family dog passed away after midnight on a Saturday. On Sunday morning, I called Pet Cremation Services at 8:30 a.m. I expected to get an answering machine, and was pleasantly surprised when a real person at an answering service answered the phone. She said someone would call me back, and within 10 minutes I got the call. Unfortunately, in my grief I failed to get the woman's name. Since I live about 50 miles from their facility, I asked if someone could meet me at 10:30. She told me one of their workers would meet me.

My experience only got better when Greg met me at 10:30. He said the owners typically handle the weekend calls, but they were out of town. He was so gracious, respectful and caring! It amazed me that someone could be so compassionate after being called into work on a Sunday morning. He helped me fill out the paperwork and talked me through the process. One of my biggest concerns was that my poor dog would be left there until someone came in on Monday to do the cremation. But no, Greg said he would do it that same day. And, in fact, he said I could go back and be with her as he started the process. He even said that they could deliver the remains to my vet so I wouldn't have to drive the 50 miles back to pick them up.

When I left, I couldn't even thank Greg because I was so choked up---partially because of the grief, but also because I was so touched by his kindness.

I picked up the ashes today, expecting them to be in a ziploc bag in a cardboard box. I didn't pay for a special urn, but they had put her ashes in a very nice wooden box with a small note that had a beautiful quote. They also provided a certificate of death. They made a very difficult situation much easier to deal with.
