  • This church is one of the things I miss most about living in Kansas City. My husband and I went there for 4 years before moving across the country, and we have never found a place quite like Revolution. The folks at Revolution have created a welcoming, accepting, grace-filled community and are incredibly active in local social justice projects. This church does good work.

  • I was not a regular church-goer when I first showed up at Revolution, but I felt so comfortable there even from my very first visit. There was no pressure to "become a member" or even to agree with everything the pastor said...very open to questions / dialogue. It's very open and affirming of the LGBTQ community, with LGBTQ folks involved at all levels of leadership & participating in worship, which was important to me. It's not an overly fancy or show-off type of church; the focus is on people building relationships with each other & God.

All the people there are Spartans! They always assume your a Persian trying to attack them. One time I was there Justin Bieber came on stage and talked about rap and how peeing in buckets is the best thing to do for your soul. Then Justin Timberlake said the same thing. I also didn't like how everyone had a AR15 in case of a Persian attack.

  • After my first Sunday service at Revolution 4 years ago, I knew this was the church home for me. After years of trying churches, then giving up for a while due to never feeling my liberal beliefs were acceptable to other churches, I found Revolution (thanks to a friend). Social justice issues that I care about are discussed in Sunday School and addressed in the sermons. This church accepts all people with all kinds of backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles. At one point my small group consisted of an atheist, an agnostic, a catholic, someone who had never gone to church before, a lifelong methodist, straight people, gay people, married people, single people, a baby-boomers, millennials, and more. A strong community exists in this church that is always growing, changing, and learning.

  • I have been going to revolution for 3 years. I like the community aspect of small group meetings every week at 10am. I feel welcome and accepted at Rev...and I was raised Catholic. Jesus is Jesus. No one denomination is always right. Its not as 'judgy' feeling as some churches. Faith is alive at Rev! Questioning your faith? So did Mother Teresa. Cheers!
