  Gosh, Nicholas. I'm very surprised that you had such a bad experience at St. Therese Church. I am not a member there, but I have attended Mass there quite a few times over the years, and I have always had a much better experience. The parish has a lot of really good people, and I don't know which priest you encountered, but the pastor is wonderful, and I have never experienced anything but kind attention from him when we've visited his church. I wonder whether something out of the ordinary was going on the day you attended there and had everyone rushing off from Mass for some reason. I have honestly not experienced anything like what you've described there. My eldest son attends St. Therese regularly, and believe me, he would not be going there if the congregation was irreverent and the pastor unwelcoming.
  
  I hope you've found a home elsewhere, although perhaps you should give St. Therese a second chance. We would certainly welcome you at St. Charles Borromeo. If you're ever at daily Mass, feel free to say hello to my husband and me. We are the sacristans at the Tuesday and Thursday morning Masses, 9am.

  I am new to KC area and attended this church to see if I could find a new church home and community. At the end of church, the proceeding song began to play and the whole congregation left bounced out before father was even in formation to walk out. I stayed until the song was over. After the proceeding song, I walked up to father to introduce my wife, 2 boys, and myself. He shook my hand and forced me past him not giving me the time of day. I have never felt this way or a had a priest treat me this way while attending any Catholic Church in my entire life. This church was completely rude and felt like they where just going through the motions. I will never attend this church again for mass, nor will I ever have my children attend their school.

  St Therese is the best experience for a kid. When my kid comes home she talks about the wonderful day science experiments, videos, and kickball

  The church facility and campus are beautiful. Mass was very solemn and traditional in format. The music was a bit over-the-top, but overall it was a good experience.
