  I always go to this parish. It's so reverend and amazing! Msgr is such a holy man. He's also one of the oldest priest in America! 95 years old has of March 2017

  Confession'll take forever to get in. Parish has it's extremist nut-case types peppered in with the rest. Our Lady GC is not a typical parish in that it's a commuter parish; parishioners who attend can rarely claim to be mid-town residents. People commute here, though, because one can rest assured that the liturgy will consistently be offered in adherence to the rubrics, often including the priest facing the same direction for the rite as the congregation.

  Middle 1950 I attended this school grades 1,2,and part of 3rd. We lived at 810 w 38 St.corner of 38th and Madison. My father was working at Ford Motor Co, white collar job, mom was house maker. Church had party function in the basement, step on Nuns skirt even to this day her eyes just cut thru me.
  Dad passed in 2012 mom lives with her daughter my sister in Strawberry, AZ- 110 miles north of Phoenix, AZ. My wife of 41 years and I are both retired our three sons are doing well, served on US Navy submarines and member of first crew of Hospital Ship- USS Sanctuary AH-17- M Division - evaporators.

  The Masses are Novus Ordo Ad Orientem, properly done at the beautiful, marble original altar, are typically very tranquil and meditative, and respectful of the Blessed Sacrament, and of course the Divine Mercy aspect is a central focus. Latin is given "pride of place".
  
  Disappointingly, the choir is not the united, well-rounded glorious choir it once was under the previous choir director, and now exhibits agitating, operatic-like performance and grandiosity, promoting overpowering shouting and shrill competing voices, and has lost its beauty, meditation, and inward-focusing prayerful humility. Worst of all, the chant has lost its warm, half voice, monastic style.
  
  Despite that, the church has been an inspiration and example to Catholics and young priests, under the leadership of Monsignor Blacet, who have been hungering for some authenticity for decades. Catholics have been drowning in the radicalized, abuse-filled Anti-Catholic, "Afraid-to-be-Authentic-Catholic" ocean of parishes in this diocese, and this one has been an oasis for those lucky enough to find it.

  We just became parishioners! Our first visit here was so random, but we were blown away by the reverence of the mass and the music.
